Open Letter from Hank to Awesome Socks Club Members
Hello!! It is Hank,
I’m writing because you’re subscribed to the Awesome Socks Club and, honestly, I should check in more often to say “what’s going on??” and also “Hey, thanks!”
But also, it’s possible that you have noticed that things have been glitchy with the sock club. There are sock gremlins and they are made of computer code.
There are a few different services that handle subscriptions like ours, and at the end of last year we switched to a new one specifically because we were quite certain that it would allow us to provide better support for you when things went wrong.
HAHAH, how naive we were.
During the migration and since, we’ve had a bunch of problems that have affected some (but not all) of you. Some subscriptions got dropped, others doubled, some skipped. I’ve watched the team here trying to untangle the mess and I’m really proud of the work they’ve done.
We’re now in the process of switching back to our previous subscription service (which, in hindsight, was pretty great). That’s going to take a little time, but we expect to be fully migrated back in the next couple months.
Again, thank you for being an Awesome Sock Club member. There are now enough of us that I will occasionally spot a pair in the wild, which always makes my day! If you ever see someone wearing Awesome Socks, please oh please take a photo together and tag me on Twitter or something!
